The day that Heather contacted me about being her wedding photographer I smiled extra big because I knew she had found her partner in life. This beautiful, talented, smart & loving woman is my niece, so watching her walk down the aisle made for some pretty watery eyes. I am SO happy for you both Heather & Ian! You two compliment each other so well and I can see you have a wonderful future ahead of you!!
In all my years of shooting weddings, I have not had the opportunity to be at a reception at One Greenville. Well, that is probably due to the fact that it is just one of many new gorgeous buildings going up in our ever growing downtown. The views were incredible!!! Ok, so back to the part before the ceremony….
While we were taking bridesmaids photos, Heather requested one shot and that was one from a scene in her favorite movie…”Bridesmaids”. So we walked out to the middle of the street and within a couple of seconds a man driving a blue motorcycle pulled up and put his hand out. We couldn’t see his face because of his helmet. But in his hand was a blue rose. What makes this a story to remember is that Heather had forgotten her “something blue” and the rose just completed her something old, something new, something borrowed and now something blue. I mean…what are the chances?!
Soon it was time for their ceremony and Larkin Courtyard was a perfect setting for saying their “I Do’s”. One of the bridesmaids had a dress malfunction and their amazing officiant who also happens to be one of my previous grooms, came to the rescue with needle and thread. All was fixed and then time to walk down the aisle. Could this day have any more fun stories? The ceremony was absolutely beautiful!!
The evening was wrapped up at the One building with dancing, great food, incredible cakes and even the Clemson Tiger!!
Congratulations Heather & Ian!! I am SO happy for you both. Thank you so much to Katie for all your hard work and creativity!
Now…sit back and enjoy their slideshow.
Thank you for stopping by!
