Emily & Matt | wedding

April 17, 2012

April 7, 2012 was THE day for Emily & Matt to exchange vows, rings and start their lives together. There were tears of joy, endless happy moments and supportive friends & family that made the day so very special. The wedding & reception was at the Alexander Homestead in Charlotte, NC which is gorgeous! The barn that is on the property is where the reception was held and it was the perfect setting for all the details that Emily had pulled together for this day. The hay bail couch with the Mr. & Mrs. pillows was AWESOME! The mason jars with chalkboard labels, personalized beer bottles and the cake with a slice of a tree trunk as the base, all tied the look together. There is a reason behind this theme which is why it is so very special. Emily & Matt met back in 2007 and their first date was a Dixie Dinner Fraternity Function. There was dancing, BBQ and they all wore cowboy boots. Hence why Emily wore cowboy boots made especially for her wedding day. After 4 years of dating they went to the mountains to go horseback riding, take a brewery tour and have dinner. This was the day in which Matt proposed. If you will notice, they had beer bottles with creative personalized labels. I have truly enjoyed my time with you Emily & Matt. The engagement session was a blast and then watching you two so happy on your wedding day was so great for me to witness and be a part of. I hope you have been enjoying your honeymoon and I wish you two all the very best!!! Thank you.

Please enjoy the slideshow at the end of the posted images. The gallery of all the wedding images will be ready later tonight.

Thank you for stopping by!

Lisa, these pictures are amazing! You captured Matt and Emily’s wedding perfectly. We so enjoyed having you at the event…we knew you were there, but we didn’t KNOW you were there, it was more like you were a wedding guest. Thank you so much!!!

OH MY! holy details, batman!! I LOVED them all — what an awesomely fun wedding to shoot. My fave was the thumbprint balloons guest signing page.. (or at least that’s what it looked like). And of course, Ms. Lisa — beautiful work by you!
