The past few months have been a whirlwind of fun with Emily & Eric. We did a lot in that short period of time! An engagement session, a Toujour shoot, designed and ordered a beautiful album and then the big wedding day. I knew from the moment I met them for their engagement session that they would be a TON of fun…and they were. They are so full of love for each other that you can’t help but smile around them. Just their facial expressions alone have me laughing 🙂

When it was time to go outside and take photos of Emily and her bridesmaids, we heard a loud clap of thunder and then…the rain came pouring down. Emily looked at me and without words, I knew she was wondering how we would get photos or if we even should attempt it during the storm. We walked downstairs after making sure that Eric would not catch a glimpse of her and said “let’s go for it”. This is when I know I have the most AWESOME assistants/second shooters because Kelsey grabbed a big handful of paper towels and began to dry off the front porch area of the church. I think at one point I laughed a little thinking here we are in dresses on hands and knees wiping the floor. But it worked!! Then Kelsey made a protective ‘tent’ out of two umbrellas so that I could stand in the rain while the girls were under the overhang. Now that is teamwork!! The beautiful thing is that it didn’t stop us from capturing just how beautiful all the girls looked!!

Just before it was time to walk down the aisle, Emily wanted a few moments for prayer and to see her dad. Those were some special moments and were quite touching to witness. Speaking of special moments, it was the anniversary day for Emily’s parents! Everything about Emily & Eric’s wedding day was perfect. Lots of laughs, hugs, smiles and of course love. Congratulations to you both!! And a BIG thank you to Kelsey for all your hard work and creativity.
