Wedding Wednesday

September 8, 2011

Considering choosing a neutral palette for your wedding colors? You might wonder if that is boring. Having a wedding sans bright colors is an oh so chic option to consider. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love bold colors and have shot many weddings with them and everything looked absolutely amazing. There is an understated elegance to neutrals that is timeless and elegant. Now going au naturel doesn’t mean that you have to stick with shades of cream, ivory and white. A natural color palette can range from shades of espresso, vanilla, bronze, antique silver, latte, buttercream and light shades of yellow & pink. I get hungry just talking about them!

I am totally in love with these bridesmaid & wedding party color options! This first one is from the wedding of Kate Moss.

I am a huge fan of Jose Villa and have had the opportunity to meet him on two occasions. He does breathtaking work. This is from a wedding he shot and was shared on Once Wed blog.

As you can see, going neutral is so not bland. Have fun with this color scheme and add an accent color if you like.
