Sobrina & John | the engagement session

January 30, 2013

When I met with Sobrina & John for their consultation they mentioned that they wanted to have a winter-like engagement session with sweaters, boots and coats. Sounded perfect to me since many times they take place in the spring, summer or fall. A winter session is really quite fun. I love winter weddings too! Well heck…I pretty much love them all.

The best part about a relaxed consultation is how it quickly turns into a conversation between instant friends. I was lucky enough to meet Sobrina’s parents too! I enjoyed hearing a bit about how Sobrina & John met and how Sobrina is so thankful that John is the ‘details’ guy and that she knows he will be sure they are taken care of…just a great way to compliment each other.

A few days before the session Sobrina called to ask if we could move it up a day due to work conflicts. When I said ‘yes’ I could hear her yell to John “JOHN..she can do it!”. Her excitement made me smile 🙂 Well..good thing we did move it up because had we kept it on the original date, we would have had to reschedule since it was the day it was sleeting and they had to drive here from Charlotte, NC. The day turned out to be magical and I had a blast with both of them. I cannot WAIT for the wedding.
