A trip to the Biltmore Estate is always amazing & beautiful, but a trip to the Biltmore Estate for a proposal is special & memorable.

Matthew contacted me to share his exciting news about proposing to his girlfriend Kerry. When he shared the details about what he had planned, I began to visualize how it would be. Anyone that has been to the Estate knows that the grounds are enormous, so we had to be sure to lock down a location because cell service gets spotty in various areas. As I stood in my spot awaiting their arrival, I had a few people walk by and ask if I was taking pictures of anything particular. I said I was taking pictures of a moment that a couple will want to remember for a lifetime. Shortly thereafter, I saw two people on horses coming around the bend on a gravel path and I noticed that it was Matthew & Kerry. It was time! Now to just remain incognito until the “moment”. Acting like I was taking pictures of a tree had me giggling inside 🙂

When they stopped and got off the horses, I watched every move and then Matthew got down on one knee. Kerry replied “YES!” and smiles were abundant. Such a beautiful moment! We then moved into a session to capture their engagement. Congratulations you two!!! I am so incredibly happy for you. Thank you for having me be a part of such a big day!
