Welcome to Wedding Wednesday #2 post! Leslie and I have been really enjoying coming up with new and exciting topics to share…especially since we get to talk about fashion & products. Plus my new favorite thing to do is create inspiration boards and Leslie has the same love for them. After all, we are both very visual people and inspiration boards are a feast for the eyes. Leslie and I will be taking turns writing the posts, however she has written both the first and today’s post. Be sure to check out her website as well.

Spring is in the air and I, for one, can’t wait!! Just last week Puxatawney Phil made my day by predicting a short winter, early spring.
The beginning days when the sun is out, the birds are chirping and the flowers are blooming is the best part of the upcoming season. It is also my favorite season because of the fashion.
Springtime is a great season to plan an engagement session, after all most of us get spring fever! There are tons of places to take the photos and lots of fun fashion to wear. Dresses, skirts and sandals all make for a great wardrobe in a photo shoot.
There are many things to think of when planning your wardrobe for your e-session. Here is a list of things to remember…
1. Express yourself through your clothing
2. Have FUN with your wardrobe
3. Add color, texture and pattern
4. Dress up… You don’t have to be in the most formal outfit but dress up and make it special
5. Don’t match your fiancé but coordinate
6. Have an extra outfit so you get more than one look – typically a casual one
7. Layers can be great in spring too. Just make sure they are spring weight scarves, sweaters, etc.
One of my main tips for those planning what to wear for an engagement shoot or any shoot, is to start with a pattern. If you find a great floral dress, then plan your fiance’s wardrobe based on that. Pick one of the colors in the floral pattern and work off of that. It doesn’t need to be the exact shade of that color but a variation of the color will work great!
Below are a few sets I put together to demonstrate some of the new spring fashions that would be great to wear in an e-session. If you ever need help planning your wardrobe, call me.I love to go shopping!
