The Woodland Plantation was THE perfect location for Suzie & Mitch’s engagement session, Suzie’s bridal and their wedding. It is a family home that is filled with family memorabilia and history. There is a photo posted below that shows what it looked like nearly 100 years ago. The sun was peeking through the trees and there was just enough cloud cover to allow beautiful filtered light onto the front steps where they said their vows. Before family and guests arrived, we set up the first look out on the grounds. Those first glimpses and moments captured are priceless and it was awesome to be a part of. I have had the best time getting to know Suzie & Mitch and an even better time being there on one of the biggest days of their lives. It was rather cute when I mentioned to Suzie that I was excited to see Mitch’s reaction when he saw her dress. She smiled and said “well…he sort of already has…I couldn’t resist and HAD to show him the bridal photos.” We laughed and then proceeded forward with the first look. BUT seeing the dress in person and with his beautiful bride in it, was infinitely better than viewing online. So it was like he was seeing it for the very first time and his reaction was perfect. He smiled and I could see the love they share. It was awesome!
The bagpipes playing in the background as Suzie walked down the aisle was magical and so was the rest of the day. Thank you both for having me as a part of your wedding day. I had such a great time! Thank you to Katie Turner for all your hard work and creativity. It is so very much appreciated.
Please enjoy a handful of images and the slideshow posted just below them.
Thank you for stopping by!

LOVED re-living that day just now! I think I had this “perma-grin” the entire time I watched the slideshow. I had a blast with you that day and can’t wait to shoot with you again!
