In some ways it seems like it was a long time ago that Nealy, Alex & I were in Clemson for their engagement session. WHAT a super fun day that was. We started at the stadium and eventually ended up at the Clemson Botanical Gardens in a field of beautiful wheat grass. We took advantage of every minute of sunlight and gave a high five ending when the sun dropped below the horizon. Walking back to the car, Nealy and I were discussing her bridal session. Alex chimed in and said “What about a groom session?”. I have never forgotten that…and Alex…I think you need to start a trend here 🙂 As time went along, I felt like I got to know a bit more about Nealy & Alex and I simply could not wait until their big day arrived. Fast forward to the bridal session and then quickly forward to the wedding day and it was time. Time for this wonderful couple to say their “I Do’s”. Every little detail was simply elegant. Speaking of details, Nealy & Alex thought of so many special touches to add to their wedding day. Nealy attached little notes to Alex’s watch which was his gift. She also attached a great note to the bouquet that would be tossed at the reception. Little things that were full of BIG emotion.
Speaking of simple elegance, their ceremony was at the Daniel Chapel which is elegant in design. I love shooting weddings there. The reception was at The Huguenot Loft which is also another amazing place to shoot weddings! As the sun was setting, we noticed the vibrant colors outside and it was a MUST to run out there and grab a few shots before the sun disappeared. SO glad we did because the sky was rich with pinks, reds, purple and dark orange. Amazing. Oh and amazing??? The band. Yep..that good! Big Swing and The Ballroom Blasters out of Atlanta put on a show that had everyone on their feet for the duration of the night.
Congratulations again Nealy & Alex. I am so very happy for you two and am honored to have been a part of your wedding events. A huge thank you to Katie Turner for all your hard work, creativity and shared laughs.
Thank you for stopping by!
