It was at this time last year that the C3 (Challenge to Conquer Cancer) group…including myself, was leaving for the 5th year of riding to Austin, TX. I have met some of the most amazing people through C3 and everyone has their heart set on raising money and awareness for cancer research. Not only do the team members have their heart’s set on an incredible cause, but some of them also have their heart struck by Cupid’s arrow! Lauren & John are two of them and it was obvious on last year’s ride that they were falling madly in love. Their love continued to grow and when they called to tell me the great news and that they wanted to have me as their photographer I was beyond excited!! Problem was, I was traveling back from Florida and had horrible reception. I could hear their happy voices saying “we…are..ge..mar…”. Heck, even if the call was cutting out, I knew exactly what was being said! WAHOO!!

It was shortly after that call that we were planning the engagement and bridal sessions as well as discussing their venue. They settled in on the new and oh so fabulous Hotel Domestique, previously known as La Bastide. Heck, I jumped up and down just as much about the venue as I did about hearing their wonderful news 🙂 Hotel Domestique is truly breathtaking and while it is still undergoing construction, it is perfection. Lauren & John would be the first to wed at the venue since it’s grand opening.

Lauren & John’s wedding day was fabulous! They even had Llama Llama (their friendly stuffed furry pet) there to enjoy in the festivities. We did have to keep an eye on him though because it seemed he had a consistently filled glass of wine. haha!! Best wishes to you both!!
