Fitness & nutrition is a big part of my daily routine. In the previous ‘Fitness Meets Fashion’ post, I briefly talked about how most of us want to look fashionable while exercising as well as all those times in between the gym. For those of you that follow my Facebook page, you know that I love to share things that I think might be enjoyable and helpful to you in addition to my photography. I will often post smoothie recipes, workout videos that I like & nutrition tips. Since then, I have been receiving messages asking about specific information, so I thought it would be helpful and fun to do blog posts on this very thing. I by no means profess to be a fashionista or a fitness expert..these are all bits and pieces of what I have learned over the years by my own trial & error as well as research. It’s just a passion 🙂
Speaking of passion…Pedal Chic is the brainchild of Robin Bylenga here in Greenville, SC. She wanted to create a women-specific bike boutique that inspired women to ride more and feel & look great while doing it. Robin wanted to carry fitness apparel that was both fashionable and functional. I have done many photo shoots for Pedal Chic and love to shop there as well. The pink long sleeve jersey is by SheBeest and you can currently find this at Pedal Chic. It is not only great to wear while riding, but it is fun to pair with everyday wear for your daily casual life. The way I see it…you get the most out of these pieces when you use them for a variety of reasons.
As for the bag, I am in love with this very functional piece! It is a shoulder bag as well as a backpack. It is the Lily Tote Bag by Lole. This versatile tote bag defines mobile multi-tasking with plenty of places to organize your daily doodads. And when you need to unwind after a busy day, it even holds your yoga mat!
• 13” laptop pocket
• Detachable, transparent cosmetic bag
• Shoe bag
• Smartphone pocket
• Keychain
• Yoga-mat friendly
• Converts into a backpack
I love a great tee and there are definitely some awesome ones at Pedal Chic. The Pedal Chic tees are super cute and I can’t help but love the #bikelove and #cyclista ones!! I keep thinking about the SNL skit with Justin Timberlake when they have fun with how everyone uses hashtags for everything 🙂
Who said that you have to pair fitness wear with fitness wear? Why not mix with other fashions? Now…how I have it paired may not be for everyone, but it just shows that you can have a little fun with it.
The green circle ring is by Lily Pottery. Her boutique is located in the Pendleton Street Arts District here in Greenville. You must go check it out!
I would love to hear how you wear your fitness fashion to the get most out of your wardrobe. But the biggest thing is…have fun.
