Scranton, Pennsylvania…or what is also known as “the electric city”, was the location for Abbey & Jason’s wedding festivities. The city of Scranton is full of history and both mornings that I was there, I walked to the Downtown Deli for breakfast and enjoyed looking at the gorgeous architecture nestled in between the mountains. Even my hotel was a sight to see as it was once a functioning passenger train station. The church where Abbey & Jason were married had the most beautiful Tiffany glass windows which I overheard others admiring as well. The reception location was at The Colonnade which was built in 1870 and was recently renovated by the two men who own and operate POSH Events. Both locations were perfect for such an incredible day!
Abbey thoroughly impressed me when she mentioned that she had a spreadsheet to track the weather…she just may have predicted it better than the local news 🙂 Everything with respect to the weather was perfect other than getting caught in a complete and total downpour while walking…or shall I say sprinting…back to the hotel after leaving the Backyard Ale House which everyone went to after the rehearsal dinner. It was rather comical walking to the elevator with squishing shoes and the sound of water drops hitting the floor. When the doors closed, I realized that I was standing next to a bride that was married at the very church that I would be at the next day. I congratulated her and sloshed my way back to my room to rest and get ready for Abbey & Jason’s BIG day!
Congratulations to you both! It was such an honor to be there with you, your family and friends. Also, a big thank you to my second photographer Julie!
Thank you for stopping by!
