It is often said that it is all in the details and there was not one little detail left out of Alicia & Derrick’s wedding. I continued to find more and more as the day went on and was in awe of the creativity that these two put into their wedding day. The water bottles were even customized with DaSimpson (Simpson being their last name) instead of Dasani, and the ingredients label was super cool! Alicia’s bridal shoot was recently posted and there I had mentioned that they were having a vineyard themed wedding. We shot the bridals at Victoria’s Vineyard which is not too far from Greenville and it fit the overall theme perfectly.
I have known Alicia & Derrick for quite some time now and Derrick has even shot with me several times, so I was beyond thrilled when they announced their engagement! With their creativity combined, I sure would like to see what birthday parties will look like when they have children!! Not rushing you two by the way. haha.
The wedding ceremony and reception was held at The Bleckley Inn in Anderson, SC. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue and supported their overall vineyard theme. There are endless places to shoot with each spot allowing for something completely different. The day of their wedding was crazy hot, but not to worry because they had custom made mad lib fans for each guest on their chair. Needless to say I saw many of those fans being waved back & forth quite fast during the ceremony, yet somehow both Alicia & Derrick looked like the heat didn’t even phase them and looked flawless in the hot and humid weather.
The first dance was such a treat for everyone and was yet another creative detail they added to the day. It started off with the Dirty Dancing theme song, “I’ve had the time of my life” and even had many of the same moves from the movie, which is why I selected that song for their slideshow posted below. Alicia then surprised Derrick with the Clemson Tiger who was a HUGE hit on the dance floor. The entire day was incredible and I had so much fun with everyone.
