Last Saturday was the first real Fall feeling day and I was so excited because the weekend was full of shoots in the mountains. Kayce & Justin decided to make the short trek to the North Carolina mountains to do their engagement session and I am thrilled that they did! The air was crisp, the lighting was perfect, the temperatures were chilly but nice, and there was a constant breeze. Wait…did I say breeze? Uhm, I meant to say full force strong winds!! The wind always makes for great motion in a photo, however it can also cause a tad bit of frustration. After shooting at the mountain cabin we went down to the lake and took pictures on an old iron bridge. A HUGE gust of wind decided to come our way as soon as we opened up the string of beautiful handmade numbers showing Kayce & Justin’s wedding date. They had some incredible handmade ‘save the date’ pieces to use in the shoot. I heard Justin say “oh man, there goes the #1”. I thought he was kidding and then we all went to look over the railing and lo and behold there it was floating away. Grrr! But we laughed and carried on with the shoot. I had such a super fun time with them and it was the perfect place to shoot their E-Session photos despite that silly wind. I cannot wait for the big day!!
Thank you Kayce & Justin for making the day great 🙂
Thank you for stopping by!
