Kim & Scott are passionate about many things…cycling, triathlons, being a part of The Challenge to Conquer Cancer, friends and most of all, each other. It was really fun for me to capture their moments on last year’s ride to Austin, TX and now their wedding. When Kim contacted me and asked if I would like to be their photographer I squealed. Did I come across as being really excited? Yeah, just a wee bit! So not only would I be there to document this amazing day for the two of them, but I would also spend the weekend with the C3 family and meet other great people as well.
The ceremony and reception was at the beautiful Cypress Trees Plantation in Edisto Island, SC. Scott & Kim’s friends were working very hard to get a good connection on the iPad because Kim’s dad was unable to make it. Kim’s dad went into the hospital just prior to her wedding day and she remained hopeful that he would be able to be there with her, but it simply couldn’t work out. They figured out a way to have her dad there via Face Time and her good friend Renee held the iPad to simulate her dad walking her down the aisle. Very special!! Thank goodness for technology!
Kim & Scott made their entrance like most couples and then busted out into some serious dance moves that they had rehearsed. It was really awesome. The rest of the night was full of dancing, laughing and singing. Pretty much perfect.
The next day I got to not only be the photographer, but I played hair and makeup artist so that we could get Kim looking great for their day-after shoot on Botany Bay beach. And WOW is all I can say!! When Kim said “I am not opposed to getting a little bit wet for a great shot”, I once again squealed with excitement. She kept telling Scott, “Trust me, these dead trees are going to make for great photos”. They did! I need about 20 exclamation points to stress that point. Thank you Dave for being my awesome lighting guy and saving me from the monster sized killer ants. haha.
I wish you both so much happiness in your future. It was an honor to be there with you and thank you for having me as a part of your big day.
Enjoy.
Thank you for stopping by!
