I knew Annie & Tyler would be an awesome couple to work with when I showed up to do their engagement session. We did the session at Annie’s grandmother’s home since the property was very open, beautiful and offered a lot of great natural backdrops. We were hurrying to beat the rain since we saw a very large and dark cloud hanging over to the back of the yard. Within 5 minutes of starting the skies opened up and off we ran to get inside. We sat and waited it out in the screened porch. I got a chance to meet a couple of Annie’s family members. And then a couple more. And even more. I thought how cool is this that we all get to sit, chat and get to know each other well before the wedding? It was so much fun! Finally the rain died down and off we went to get some awesome photos. Annie & Tyler came back inside after the shoot looking fresh, happy & rested. I on the other hand had crazy hair from the humid weather and was absolutely covered in big mosquito bites!! Not to worry because LeAnn, Annie’s mom, came to the rescue with a good home remedy for my red welted legs. I left that day super excited because we all got a chance to build a bond. I really looked forward to the big day.
A blink of the eye and that big day arrived. An engagement session and two bridal shoots later, here we were and everyone was ALL smiles! Today however, there was no rain just beautiful puffy clouds and fall colors. I just had to share this from their wedding website “We are both from Easley, South Carolina and grew up a few houses down from each other. We went to different high schools, but one summer before school started, Tyler worked as a life guard at the neighborhood pool. Both of us flirted with one another and finally realized we weren’t as ugly and mean as we remembered from those earlier summer days.” I love that! They managed to stay in touch throughout college and at times, distances between them. Tyler is a First Lieutenant in the US Army and Annie is in graduate school at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Annie & Tyler have so many great things ahead of them and so many more memories to make. I wish you two all the best and I thank you for allowing me to share this day with you and your family. A big thank you to Leslie for all your hard work! Please enjoy a handful of images and the slideshow posted below.
Thank you for stopping by!
