A lot was going on in Charleston, SC on April 2, 2011. The annual Cooper River Bridge run which attracts 40,000 enthusiastic runners and their supporters. This was also the weekend of the Family Circle Cup tennis tournament. But most importantly, this was the day of Tyson & Maggie’s wedding!! Being a runner myself, it was quite a rush to see the finishers walking downtown Charleston as Leslie & I were heading to start shooting at The William Aiken House on King Street. The city had come to life with music, chatter, laughing and absolutely amazing weather conditions. There was a good bit of wind, but it was all really enjoyable. The house was still being decorated when we arrived and I could quickly see that there was so much attention to all the little details. Tyson & Maggie’s program was so beautiful that it had a little portrait session of it’s own! We set up a shot to mimic the program and I placed them side by side in an image below.
Tyson & Maggie decided they wanted to do the ‘first look’ which worked out brilliantly. We were able to capture their expressions from all angles and then went straight into taking pictures of the two of them and then the wedding party. This allowed them to go right from the ceremony to enjoying the reception once the family formals were complete. The East Coast Party Band did an amazing job and kept everyone on the floor dancing the night away.
Congratulations Tyson & Maggie! I wish you both much happiness. It was an honor to work with you and your families. Thank you Leslie for all your hard work!! Please enjoy the handful of images below and the slideshow. The online gallery will be ready to view shortly.
Thanks for stopping by!
