Swift Creek Baptist Church, or as I have often called it, the chapel at Boykin Mill, is truly like taking a step back in time. It was built in 1827 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s simple, timeless and has an elegant charm to it…a perfect place for “I Do’s”. It was the perfect place for Katy & Larry to say their “I Do’s”! I must admit, I was really excited to go back as it had been awhile since I have had a wedding at this location.
Weddings are a little different in 2020 due to Covid, but Katy & Larry adjusted their plans and had the most amazing day. Everything was perfect, the weather was perfect and everyone was excited to share this special day with Katy & Larry. After the ceremony and photos, we made our way down the road to the Mill Pond Steakhouse, BUT not without a few more photos of that walk down the road. It was the perfect backdrop to capture a few more of the newly wed couple!
As soon as we walked into the steakhouse, you could smell the incredible food that this restaurant is known for. Family & guests were having a great time connecting with one another and the view out the back of the steakhouse was so beautiful as the sun was setting on the pond…looked like a watercolor painting. Congratulations again Katy & Larry!! Everything was perfect. Thank you for having us capture such a special day in your lives. And thank you to my second photographer Leslie for all your help.
All the best to you both!
Enjoy.
Thank you for stopping by!
