…the 4th of July that is! I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy time with family and friends while watching fireworks. My day started off with a bang when I went on a 4th of July ride with Carolina Triathlon. We were to go 60 miles and ended up around 67 miles instead. It was SO hot and we all were desperate to get off our bikes at the end, but we had such a wonderful time and I must say “THANK YOU” to everyone at the shop for having great food and drinks for after our long ride. The rest of the day was time to grill out, let the boys play with sparklers, throw the baseball and watch everyone in the neighborhood do their fireworks. One of our neighbors had such an amazing display of them that I didn’t feel the need to go and watch the professionals…they were amazing! We just giggled when we let off our little screaming rattlers and smoke bombs!! haha. My kids laughed at me when I placed one of the fireworks in the ground that was supposed to shoot up in the sky. I had no idea until it lit a patch of grass and turned it jet black! They just looked at me and said “uh mom, that was not supposed to be in the ground!”. Whoops 🙂 Anyway, we had so much fun and that is what it’s all about. I hope you did as well.
Thanks for stopping by!
