The Costco on Woodruff Road in Greenville, SC had their first car show last Sunday for people to showcase their passion and to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. I was asked to cover the event for them and I was more than happy. The weather was a bit of a worry but everyone proceeded forward as planned. Just as people were showing and placing their cars in position and wiping them down, the sky opened up and rain started to fall. Well I must say that it was an experience we will not soon forget!!! The rain got VERY heavy, the wind was intense and then a few lightning strikes were MUCH closer than I would have liked! So we were all huddling under the tents protecting our materials and gear and as the wind got crazy we all were holding the tents so that they wouldn’t blow away and then one super close lighting crack and we all just decided it best to let go 🙂 Nothing like holding onto metal near lighting right? Just when we thought the lighting was over…down came the HAIL of all things! Needless to say the car show didn’t take off like planned due to the fact that Mother Nature had other plans for the day, but we all had such a blast and I wanted to share a few images of the day.
The very beginning of the storm and the rain was getting heavier and heavier!
But look at the sky after the storm…wow!
Great attitudes by everyone made for a super fun day!
Watching the video from the storm…"check out that hail!!!!"
Passing the time with pictures!
The group of employees at Costco are an incredible group of people! Thanks everyone.
